We support “Leer Helps Sri Lanka”

We believe that the corporate culture of any modern, successful company should also include actively practiced social responsibility. When the “Leer Helps Sri Lanka” organization was founded in 2004 following the devastating flooding, we joined in the same year and have supported it with an annual donation ever since.

Helping create new prospects

Additional support is always welcome, and can be used to expand the facilities and offer even more children a new beginning. The organization also supports a home for the elderly, as well as local fishers, who can buy new nets with the help of our donations.

Giving children a new home + future

On the northern peninsula Jaffna, countless children have lost their homes, and many have lost their parents as well. In 2006 the organization began construction of a children’s home; in late 2009 the first children were able to move in. Since the children are taught and receive meals on-site, a cafeteria was subsequently added, followed by an in-house kitchen in February 2015.Between 89 and 125 children live and learn at the home and the adjacent school building, where they have the option of completing the 10th-grade or the 13th-grade diploma. Today, two of the children have already gone on to study medicine!
